The Disease- Craniofacial Dystrophy

Few people are actually affected by any syndrome and the few new syndromes discovered are usually obscure and irrelevant to most people. To propose a new syndrome that affects most people alive today, which has so far been completely unnoticed is both bold and speculative. However being speculative is the purpose of this video blog, and at times of science in general.

Attached here is a series of videos which are aimed at helping the watcher to understand Craniofacial Dystrophy and my current thinking. Feedback would be welcome and is my objective. At times the most obvious things go unnoticed, usually as strong assumptions have been made that are difficult to overthrow and allow the observer to see clearly and without prejudice. We once thought that the world was flat, which seems as obvious to people then as the opposite does to us now. Imagine trying to explain this to someone that was sceptical, it would not be easy and they would not want to hear.

The implications of Craniofacial Dystrophy are wide ranging and if accepted would require a fundamental rethink of how the medical system treats the various symptoms attributed to this syndrome. This means change and at the lowest level which means people changing the way that they work or stopping their work, and some of these will be influential people. It would also require a complete revaluation by society of how and why our faces look the way that they do. As is mentioned in the article fatalism is often more comfortable that determinism. Neither of these facts should be underestimated, this new paradigm of Craniofacial Dystrophy is going to take time to propagate through the medical and public, and will initially be dismissed out of hand, as all new radical ideas are.
